Recognising that many people value good design but don’t have the budget for a full interior design service, I have developed the Quick Fix.

If you would like to renovate your kitchen or bathroom affordably, this is for you. You will need a measured drawing of your kitchen or bathroom space, some photos of the room and a few from the rest of your house (to give me an idea of your style). Armed with this information and your brief I can work remotely.

The Quick Fix is a ‘Concept Design’ to give you the confidence to start renovating. Perhaps you are thinking of a flat pack kitchen from IKEA combined with some custom made elements. Or maybe you’d like to approach a builder who would work out the detail, but have a drawing to hand over with the basics of what you’re looking for.

How does it work?

I draw up a plan from the measurements you give me. Then I develop a layout for your new kitchen or bathroom, based on your brief. I’ll send you a sketch plan along the way to make sure I’m on track. The design will include ideas for materials and finishes, a suggestion for fittings and communication of the overall ‘look’ through images or sketches. I’ll describe what I think are important ideas to keep in mind when pursuing the design further. And I’ll give you drawings (hand sketched, to scale) to describe the cabinetry and layout in broad brush terms.

Fee

The quick fix is a fixed price service of $1250. If you are unable to provide a dimensioned plan for me I can come measure up your space at an additional $180.
